Critics Challenge International Wine Competition celebrated its seventh anniversary this year over the Memorial Day weekend.   Our thanks to all the wineries who entered this most unique of all wine competitions.  The list of award winners is posted on the Results page at www.criticschallenge.com/results.htm

Critics Challenge judges are well known and widely respected wine journalists.  Many of them are regular contributors to Wine Review Online. Their global tasting experiences and journalistic discipline give our judges a world perspective on wine that is unmatched by any wine competition anywhere. This is important in a wine world that delivers stylistic and cultural differences in wine that hark directly back to where the grapes were grown and the wines were made.

The goal is to recognize all well-made wines regardless of personal bias, taking into account a wine’s origins, particularly its terroir.   Critics Challenge also excerpt passages from the judges’ tasting notes and post edited snippets on the competition website.
